PERSPECTIVE

​PERSPECTIVE  -  a mental view or prospect / the capacity to view things in their true relations or relative importance / aiding the vision / an optical glass (such as a telescope or glasses)
 
In September I felt the Holy Spirit nudging me to compile as many ‘fear not’ scriptures in one document, as possible since I was extremely concerned (dare I say, fearful). It became my last blog on my website. God included EVERYTHING in His word we could ever need for living in this world. We will find all solutions there. That’s where I left my fear behind, as I compiled those ‘fear not’ scriptures. 
 
I feel led to remind you again to “fear not” but I think today’s message from God is: CHECK YOUR PERSPECTIVE. 
 
I was trying to understand why the world seems to have lost its collective mind. What is going on and why has everything gone crazy? Why does everything seem upside down? Right is wrong and wrong is right? Why is the world terrified and panicked by Covid-19 and all its variants? 
 
Then I realized, its PERSPECTIVE. Maybe it was my new glasses? I recently went on a little shopping spree and found inexpensive prescription glasses online (www.eyebuydirect.com) and purchased several pair. I purchased them over about nine months but the culmination is displayed here. You can let me know which one you like best.
 
The funny thing is, I see the same and nothing really different when I look OUT from any pair of my new glasses, however, when you look at me, they are each unique and look a little different. As believers, we should be looking at the world through our spiritual eyes and through the lense of God’s word. 
 
If you’re looking through spiritual glasses though, what are people seeing when they look at you? Do they see a peace-filled Christian or something a little more colorful? Someone who screams at the TV over the condition of the world or someone who knows God is still on His throne? Are you wire metal, laidback pretty in pink or colorful tortoise shell plastic? 
 
Let us all REFLECT THE ONE TRUE GOD OF PEACE and shine His beauty this Christmas and NOT the craziness of the spirit of this world.
 
I’m reminded that I’ve walked with the Lord for over thirty-five years. I pray I have spiritual discernment and see the world through the perspective (glasses) of someone who knows much of the Word of God (I have much to learn) but what I mean is, I have a Christian perspective on world events based on what I know to be the truth in the Bible, but sadly not everyone does.
 
Trying to make sense of a senseless society, it finally sunk in. Most of those around us and in leadership and on our TV are unbelievers and they have a totally different perspective. Theirs is one of fear and dread. Their perspective is that of Satan’s. If you are not following the truth, you are following the lie of the enemy. The world is in total fear and many fear death because they have no hope. They are blinded and deceived. 
 
As born-again believers we have a total opposite perspective or we should. We should not be blinded by the deceiver of this world. We know this world is not our home and that we’re simply passing through. We know “to live is Christ and to die is gain”.
Phil 1:2 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain
 
I understand that no one wants to lose a loved one and it’s terrible to deal with the loss and live without those who’ve passed away, BUT we know, as believers, we will see our loved ones again. We know that everyone will die at some point, unless we’re raptured first. If you have not been taught that death is imminent, then let me help you out (see scripture below). 
James 4:14 KJV Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
 
Now perhaps unbelievers, especially scientists, don’t think they have to die if they invent enough things to prolong or stop it. Even though they’ve witnessed their loved ones grow old and pass away, they think they can discover a way to be ‘invincible’ and live forever without having the moral restraints (as they see it) of living for Jesus. They want to live forever here on earth since they don’t believe in heaven or an afterlife provided by God. 
 
For those of us who have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior we realize we will never truly die. We will live forever in heaven with Jesus. Just as he was resurrected and lives forever, we will too. The unbeliever rejects this. The unbeliever thinks this earth is all there is and they MUST save themselves from death which explains the panic. They believe this is as good as it gets. If I had that perspective, I might panic too. 
 
Of course, we want to do all we can to help save lives around us, because we want our loved ones with us here on earth, but we are not God. We cannot decide and are not in control of who lives and who dies. So, if you take one vaccine or one-hundred vaccines, this unrealistic, tyrannical, unscientific, desperate, panic and chaos we see in the world is something true born-again believers should NOT get sucked into. 
 
As believers we understand that every man has an appointed time:
Hebrews 9:27 KJV And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment
 
It is our job to trust God, pray and walk in the complete healing power of His Holy Spirit provided to us while we’re on earth and know God has a good plan for us, even after death! 
 
Do not be surprised by how the unbeliever faces death. They are scurrying and panicking in complete fear. Unbelievers are followers of Satan and his demons. They belong to and follow the anti-Christ spirit of this world. The government, scientist, doctors, CDC and FDA are their Gods. They are relying on these institutions to save them. They have no other hope. They trust blindly and believe the things they are told. What else do they have? Nothing. Their complete and utter hope is in this world and this world system. Think about that. If you had no trust or belief in God, what hope would you have? None. You would trust these agencies too. 
 
Think about living with that perspective. What a horrible place to be. Aren’t you glad you have the privilege of seeing through the glasses of the HOLY SPIRIT? Keep scriptures before your eyes, in your spirit, hidden in your heart and your perspective will be clear! 
 
Let the world scramble and run around as if they have no hope. Let them try to figure out a way to keep from dying. Let them test, mask, vaccine, boost, distance, lockdown, etc. but you, BELIEVER, come out of that madness! Instructions are coming at us based completely on their fear of dying. Believers should not be afraid, even of death, but trusting the word of God. We are made in the image of God and have God-given rights to make our own decisions for our bodies, based on His word. Stand firm. Stand strong. Stand in peace.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
 
The perspective of the believer should be different than the spirit of the world because we have HOPE in the one true God. The one who did not spare His only son.
1 John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
 
So, my dear fellow, true believer, I will say it again: DO NOT FEAR.
“Do not call conspiracy all that this people calls conspiracy, and do not fear what they fear, nor be in dread.” Isaiah 8:12 ESV
 
God told us in His word that we would see this. The unbelievers (most of the leaders) are listening to the enemy and are in total chaos but He told us:
Psalm 46:10 KJV Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Luke 21:28 KJV And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
 
God has shown us what lies ahead. We can expect horrors, pain, death and troubles on earth but heaven is a place we will be forever. It will be joyous and a reunion with our loved ones. He went to prepare a place for us so where he is, we can be also. There will be no more tears, no more sorrow, no more pain. 
 
Remember, our perspective is still only a partial one, no matter which pair of glasses we put on….
1 Corinthians 13:12-13 For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know fully even as also I was fully known. But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.
 
Our job in these crazy times, is to continue to tell and show them the saving grace of Jesus. Let us continue to show LOVE and peace to all unbelievers who are so desperately scared and help them see through our truth glasses. For us, we get God’s glasses and perspective when you do this ….
 
Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in his wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of his glory and grace
